Talent Biography

With an electrifying voice, an arresting smile and a natural flair for showmanship, LaShonda has built a fertile career as a multi-talented entertainer!

In the very embryonic stages of her career, LaShonda landed a solo recording deal with legendary, Motown Records. During her tenure there, she recorded a duet, “Hand in Hand”, with her label mates and pop stalwarts 98 Degrees, which appeared on their self-titled album. She also recorded songs for motion picture soundtrack “The Associate”, starring Whoopi Goldberg.

She has been the opening act for Grammy Award winning trumpeter, Chris Botti’ and for the late Maya Angelou’s Unique Lives & Experiences Tour. LaShonda has also sang background for Brian McKnight, Keith Washington, Wayne Brady, & Michelle Williams just to name a few.

Her theatrical resume includes Sarabi (The Queen) for a national tour of Disney’s “The Lion King” and later made her Broadway debut in the same production covering several roles. Her other notable theatrical credits include starring in stage shows under the direction of Tyler Perry, David E. Talbert and JD Lawrence playing opposite Stephanie Mills, Jackee Harry, and Tommy Ford (from Martin) just to name a few.

Most recently, LaShonda has entranced visitors along the Las Vegas strip as the inaugural leading lady in the gargantuan Bellagio Hotel newest offering, The Mayfair Supper Club.
