Talent Biography

Kwame Michael Remy, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, discovered his passion for music at just three years old with his first church solo, “This Little Light of Mine.” That song became a guiding light for his journey in music and the arts.

Kwame’s soulful voice and dynamic energy have taken him around the world as a vocalist, entertainer, and musical theater performer. He’s headlined on land and sea, performed supporting vocals for Sam Smith at the 60th Annual Grammy Awards, and appeared on Season 16 of America’s Got Talent with the NY vocal group JWIS.

In 2019, Kwame won Broadway World’s Best Lead Actor in a Musical for his role as Lola/Simon in Kinky Boots in Hawaii. He’s also starred in national and international tours of Broadway hits like Smokey Joe’s Café, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Solid Gold Soul. On Broadway, he performed with the Broadway Gospel Choir in Linda Eder’s Christmas Stays the Same. With an impressive range and infectious spirit he will continue to captivate audiences worldwide.
